Too long have the Church buildings been shut. It is time for God's people to meet.
I present for you a few scriptures:
"9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and giuen him a Name which is aboue euery name:
10 That at the Name of Iesus euery knee should bow, of things in heauen, and things in earth, and things vnder the earth:
11 And that euery tongue should confesse, that Iesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
Philippians Chapter 2, Verses 9-11, King James 1611 Bible
The name Jesus/Yeshua is above all illness. COVID-19 is a vastly exaggerated attack on us. It is shutting down public worship. Even if it were high risk disease (which it isn't), the name of Jesus/Yeshua would still hold authority over it.
"7 For God hath not giuen vs the spirit of feare, but of power, of loue, and of a sound minde."
2Timothy Chapter 1 Verse 7, King James 1611 Bible
Why should we fear COVID-19? God has not appointed us to live in fear of it.
"28 Saying, Did not wee straitly command you, that you should not teach in this Name? And behold, yee haue filled Hierusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this mans blood vpon vs.
29 ¶ Then Peter, and the other Apostles answered, and saide, Wee ought to obey God rather then men."
Acts Chapter 5, Verses 28-29, King James 1611 Bible
We should obey God rather than men. Whilst we shouldn't seek to break laws for the sake of it (though I would argue the Coronavirus Act is a breach of the constitution and therefore not lawful anyway); isn't this a case where we should be meeting together? We have a saviour who healed the sick so why should we be at all afraid of illness? COVID-19 is nothing out of the ordinary, it is the response that is abnormal.
Stop the new abnormal and get the Church buildings open.
One more to leave with you for now:
"2 Grace be to you, and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Iesus Christ.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Iesus Christ, who hath blessed vs with all spirituall blessings in heauenly places in Christ:"
Ephesians Chapter 1, Verses 2 and 3, King James 1611 Bible
