This short article contains the good news that the fracking three disgracefully jailed by a judge with vested interests have been freed, tempered with the sad news that fracking has commenced in Lancashire. That said, the predicted earthquakes have now started so hopefully this abomination will be shut down shortly.
We start with the freeing of the fracking three. Simon Blevins, Richard Roberts and Rich Loizou were all freed at their appeal by Judge Lord Chief Justice Lord Burnett earlier this week. The Judge said:
""We have concluded that an immediate custodial sentence in the case of these appellants was manifestly excessive.
"In our judgment the appropriate sentence which should have been imposed on September 26 was a community order with a significant requirement of unpaid work.
"But these appellants have been in prison for six weeks. As a result, and only for that reason, we have concluded that the appropriate sentence now is a conditional discharge for two years."
The judges remarks still display a streak of arrogance that those seeking to protect should be punished, but at least they are out of jail.
Where, might I ask is the charge of perverting the course of justice for Judge Altham from the original trial (or should that be travesty)? It now turns out Altham has a vested interest in the gas industry given that his family have the business "J.C. Altham and Sons". This business supplies the Irish Sea gas and oil industry according to the Mirror. There have been comments made suggesting that the company is part of the supply chain for Centrica. Centrica is a UK based multinational. They have invested tens of millions of pounds in fracking. If this claim can be substantiated then Judge Altham should be facing a jail term himself, but will it even be investigated by the authorities?
Even if Judge Altham has no direct links to fracking, his family business ties leave the court open to claims of corruption that at the least, merit investigation. Given the situation, he should have stood down from the original trial.
I was partially pleased to hear today that across the course of today and yesterday, the disgrace that is Cuadrilla have set off four earthquakes in the Blackpool area during their ongoing frack of Preston New Road. The latest one measured a magnitude of 0.3 at 1:20pm yesterday with experts warning that it needs to be called off.
Retired Professor of Geophysics, David Smythe of University of Glasgow, was quoted on Metro.co.uk as saying:
"Recent research by Stanford University shows that these tiny tremors can be indicators of bigger quakes to follow – like canaries in a coal-mine.
The problem for Cuadrilla is that if it carries on regardless, bigger earthquakes may well be triggered.
To quote Cole Porter; “There may be trouble ahead”. Cuadrilla’s only safe option is to cease fracking."
I am led to believe that quake of the magnitude of 0.5 will hit the government's red alert level and see this frack abandoned. Therefore as long as it doesn't cause any unforeseen harm, I am hoping we get the 0.5 magnitude earthquake as soon as possible.
Sajid Javid overruled the original decision not to frack here. This man is now Home Secretary and has a big influence over justice (or should I say injustice) in this country.
This man will no doubt come up again in Craven Freedom reports and I have no problem with calling him out as an enemy of the people and as operating against the best interests of most of us. That said, I hope he is saved from the pathway of destruction and comes to know God's salvation.
I do hope this man will not emerge as Prime Minister one day, however given his banking credentials (former Managing Director at Deutsche Bank), he like Theresa May (another who came from the banks) could move from Home Secretary to Prime Minister. In reality, were the law of the land applied, both would be moving to a cell.
When he was Communities Secretary back in late 2016, Javid overturned Lancashire Council's decision to reject fracking.
Javid stated:
“Shale gas has the potential to power economic growth, support 64,000 jobs, and provide a new domestic energy source, making us less reliant on imports.
We will take the big decisions that matter to the future of our country as we build an economy that works for everyone, not just the privileged few.”
The arrogance of the man is displayed perfectly here. How dare us, who are viewed as plebs, decide against fracking? No, Javid says that he and his kind will make the decisions for the future. The complete inversion of the truth with him reckoning his decision is for everyone and not just the privileged few is laughable.
Our response to this is crucially important, we must stay in line with scripture of obeying the laws of the land, but let us remember what the laws of this land are. Parliament is not sovereign. Our great charter the Magna Carta and also our Declaration of Rights exist between us and the Crown. As such, when Parliament is acting unlawfully (as it is doing currently), the monarch representing the Crown is duty bound to dissolve Parliament, deal with the lawbreakers and hold fresh elections to bring about a new parliament. Parliament like to allege they can change the Magna Carta and Declaration of Rights with legislation, but these agreements are between the people and the crown so they can't. They may have put in place acts containing the same or similar texts to the Magna Carta and put the Declaration of Rights in as the Bill of Rights, but these documents exists as binding lawful agreements outside of Parliament and also above Parliament. Anything that is put for royal assent by Parliament must not break our great charter or Declaration of Rights. Put bluntly, this current Parliament must be dissolved (this is fully in line with the law of the land) and the evil behaviour dealt with.
